Harbury Toddler Update
Schools out for summer wow that went quickly, we had so much fun!Toddlers is closed during August, starting back again on Monday 4th September with more large Easel Art from creative artist Deb Dutton, our very own Alison Hunt will lead story and rhymes, and the secret door through to the Library will be opened once again. Plus, we have a taster relaxation session and Rhythm Time have promised a visit.
ConsultationThe Local Authority are keen to reshape services for children 0 to 5 and their families, they have to save a huge amount of money. We think that Toddler Groups will be all the more important, so please do continue your support by attending. If you want to have your say on the futures of Warwickshire’s Children’s Centres here is the link: askwarks.wordpress.com/2017/06/29/reshaping-services-for-children-and-families-consultation
ActivitiesAimee Mann, mother to Freddie, Bella and Jago, organised some lovely painting for us, rolling cars in the paint and making tracks. We also loved our ‘messy animal’ play we encourage the children to explore all manner of textures and ‘feely things’. For some children going to the small child friendly sinks afterwards is the very best part, turning the taps on full flow to wash their hands, ongoing water play at the perfect height.
Dancing with mini beasts with Miss Lorraine from Love Ballet Company, she is one of our regulars and it’s a pleasure to welcome her and her children.
FriendshipsToddler Groups were established to enable people to come together and meet new people and often forming lasting friendships, we know parenting can be a bit of a lonely place sometimes. This photograph perfectly illustrates the informal chatty atmosphere we hope we have enabled at Harbury Toddler Group – happy parents, happy children.
Special AwardIt isn’t very often you feel able to ‘blow your own trumpet’ but we think on this one occasion it is warranted. Entrust Care Partnership run Toddlers and recently we attended a ‘glam do’ at the Touch FM Pride of Warwick Awards and we WON the Carer of the Year Award 2017. We are very proud, we work in the health and social care sector caring for disabled children and families so this award feels a real accolade.
Last day of Toddlers today, we had a lovely time at Henry’s Castle great day for a picnic outside and afterwards some sleepy toddlers ready for a nap. Thank you for all your support this term it is appreciated. We look forward to welcoming you back in September…. Have a happy summer …Missing you already!
